In Memoriam: Clinnon Oneal Harvey, 1944-2022

Clinnon Harvey, a long-time faculty member and administrator at Prairie View A&M University in Texas, died late last month. He was 77 years old.

Dr. Harvey obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mathematics from Prairie View A&M University. He earned a doctorate in curriculum and instruction from the University of Houston.

Professor Harvey returned to Prairie View as a faculty member after working as a computer analyst for NASA. During his tenure at the university, he served as chair of mathematics education in academic enhancement, coordinator for Math and Access, chair of the Athletic Council, and faculty representative for the athletics department.

Dr. Harvey retired in 2017.
