Three Black Women in New Administrative Roles at Virginia State University

reshunda-mahoneReshuna L. Mahone was appointed vice president for institutional advancement at Virginia State University. She is the former associate vice president for development at Spelman College in Atlanta. Earlier in her career, she held fundraising posts at the University of Miami, Georgia State University, the University of Central Florida, and the University of Florida.

Mahone is a graduate of the University of Florida, where she majored in business administration with a concentration in information sciences. She holds an MBA from the University of Central Florida.

annie-reddAnnie C. Redd was named special assistant to the president and liaison to the Virginia State University board of visitors. She has been serving as senior assistant provost at Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida. Earlier, she was executive assistant to the provost and registrar at Bethune-Cookman.

Dr. Redd is a graduate of Florida State University, where she majored in business administration. She holds an MBA and an educational doctorate from Nova Southeastern University.

pamela-tolsonPamela Tolson was named director of communications at the university. She has been serving as director of communication at Saint Augustine’s University in Raleigh, North Carolina. She is the former director of media relations at Florida A&M University.

Tolson is a graduate of Elizabeth City State University, where she majored in English.
