Morehouse School of Medicine Hires Two Physicians for New Surgical Posts

Morehouse_School_of_Medicine_2_405199Historically Black Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta has announced that it is expanding its bariatric and minimally invasive surgeries practice of its affiliated Morehouse Health. The medical school has hired two physicians to provide these new services.

Shaneeta M. Johnson is an expert in robotic minimally invasive surgery. She is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, where she majored in neuroscience. She earned her medical degree at Loma Linda University in Los Angeles and completed her residency at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C. She then completed a fellowship in surgery at the Cleveland Clinic.

Larry Hobson has completed more than 8,200 surgeries. He is a graduate of Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, Tennessee, where he double majored in chemistry and biology. He then received his medical degree at Meharry Medical College in Nashville. Dr. Johnson completed his residency at the Emory University School of Medicine.
