Timothy Beard Named the Next President of Pasco-Hernando State College

beardThe board of trustees of the Pasco-Hernando State College District has named Timothy Beard as the college’s fourth president. College is headquartered in New Port Richey, Florida, just north of Tampa. The college enrolls about 10,000 students. Blacks make up 4 percent of the student body.

Dr. Beard has been on the staff at the college since 2007 and currently serves as vice president for student development and enrollment management. He will become president of the college on July 1. Dr. Beard will be the second African American to serve as president of the college.

Dr. Beard holds bachelor’s and master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling and a doctorate in higher education administration, all from Florida State University.
