The New Dean of the College of Sciences and Technology at Savannah State

JonathanlambrightJonathan P. Lambright was named dean of the College of Sciences and Technology at Savannah State University in Georgia. He has been a professor and chair of the engineering department at the university for more than a decade. He has served as interim dean of the College of Sciences and Technology since July 2012.

Before joining the academic world, Dr. Lambright was a mechanical engineer for the U.S. Department of Defense and worked in the advanced design department of defense contractor Lockheed Martin. He also worked as a systems consultant for several Fortune 500 companies.

Dr. Lambright holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro. He earned a Ph.D. at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta.
