Racial Incident on the Campus of Purdue University

purdue-logoA placard placed in front of a building on the campus of Purdue University was defaced with a racial slur. An illustration of a stick figure hanging from a tree was also drawn on the placard.

Purdue University President Mitch Daniels issued a statement which read, “Bigotry and hate are neither welcomed not tolerated at Purdue University. There is no place at Purdue for those who act from hatred. If you recognize yourself in this last sentence, you are not welcome at Purdue.”
