Hampton University Provost Elected Chair of the National Institute of Aerospace

Pamela.HammondPamela V. Hammond, provost at Hampton University in Virginia, was elected chair of the board of directors of the National Institute of Aerospace. The institute is a nonprofit research association conducting advanced study in aerospace and atmospheric science. She has served as the group’s vice chair for the past two years.

Dr. Hammond is the former dean of the School of Nursing at Hampton University. She is a graduate of Tuskegee University in Alabama and holds a master’s degree in maternal child nursing from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Dr. Hammond earned an educational doctorate from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.
