Delaware State University Teams Up With the EPA

Delaware State University in Dover has entered into a new agreement with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency that will strengthen the educational institution’s programs in the environmental sciences. The agreement calls for the establishment of the Linking Environmental and Academic Programs (LEAP) initiative.

Under the agreement, the partnership will promote student recruitment, internships, and career development programs in agriculture, environmental science, and related fields. The LEAP initiative will also focus on faculty professional development programs in these fields and work to improve the environmental sciences curriculum at Delaware State. The LEAP program will include a summer program in environmental sciences for high school students.
