New Online Nursing Degree Program Established at Southern University

Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, has announced the launch of new online degree program in nursing. Under this new program, registered nurses can earn their bachelor’s degree in nursing within one year.

Registered nurses who obtained an associate’s degree with at least a 2.6 grade point average and one-year of working experience are eligible for the new online program. The new 12-month accelerated program will incorporate research, clinical training, and community service. The university expects to enroll 30 students in the online program.
