Brian Jones Named General Counsel for Strayer University

Brian W. Jones was named general counsel of Strayer University. Strayer University operates 92 campuses in 22 states and has an extensive online education program. Jones will also serve as deputy general counsel for Strayer Education Inc., the holding company for the university.

Jones has been serving as chair of the District of Columbia Public Charter School Board. He is the former general counsel of the U.S. Department of Education during the administration of George W. Bush.

Jones is a graduate of Georgetown University, where he majored in business administration. He earned his law degree at the University of California at Los Angeles.
