A New Dean of Engineering at the University of California at Irvine

Gregory N. Washington is the new dean of the Henry Samueli School of Engineering at the University of California at Irvine. He was serving as interim dean of the College of Engineering at Ohio State University. Dean Washington joined the faculty at Ohio State in 1995. His research focuses on designing advanced automotive systems for energy efficient vehicles.

Dr. Washington holds bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from North Carolina State University.
