Ivory W. Lyles is the new dean of the School of Agriculture, Research, Extension, and Applied Sciences. He was associate vice president for agriculture and director of extension at the University of Arkansas.

Lydie Louis will make history this spring when she become the first student in the interdisciplinary microelectronics-photonics graduate program at the University of Arkansas to earn two Ph.D.s. She will be awarded doctorates from both the University of Arkansas and the Ecole Centrale Paris.
In Memoriam: Christopher C. Mercer, 1924-2012
He was one of the six Black students who racially integrated the School of Law at the University of Arkansas. He was an adviser to the Little Rock Nine, the students who racially integrated Central High School in 1957.
