Dr. Thomas is currently the executive vice president and provost at St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota. Prior to arriving at St. Catherine University in 2019, she was the founding dean of the College of Applied Behavioral Sciences at the University of Indianapolis. Earlier in her career, Dr. Thomas taught counseling psychology and school counseling at Loyola University Chicago.

The New Director of the Center for Black Studies at Northern Illinois University
Gena Flynn is the new director of the Center for Black Studies at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. She was director of academic support at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois. From 2007 to 2014, Dr. Flynn served on the staff at Columbia College in Chicago.
Two Yale Students Will Use Grant to Start a Preparatory High School in Burundi
Wendell Adjetey and Etienne Mashuli, both graduate students at Yale, have received a fellowship from the nonprofit Echoing Green that will be used to start a foundation, school, and library in Burundi's capital city.
