For the past 18 years, Dr. Early has been dean at the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Toledo in Ohio. Earlier in his career, Dr. Early was an assistant professor of pharmacy at Florida A&M University.
Taking on new faculty roles are Raina Merchant at the University of Pennsylvania, Norman Anderson at Florida State University, Kristie Williams at Ursuline College in Ohio, and Keisha R. Callins at Mercer University in Georgia.

The honorees are George L. Daniels of the University of Alabama, Lawanda Cummings of Paine College in Augusta, Georgia, Hewitt W. Matthews of Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, and Dawn J. Wright of Oregon State University.
M. Brian Blake is vice provost for academic affairs and dean of the Graduate School at the University of Miami in Florida. He will become provost at Drexel University on August 1.
Yusef Komunyakaa is the Global Distinguished Professor of English at New York University. He is being honored by the Center for Southern Studies at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia.
