Lynette Luckers is the new dean of counseling and completion services at Delaware County Community College in Media, Pennsylvania. Debbie G. Thomas has been appointed dean of the College of Education at Grambling State University in Louisiana and Tawana Parks was appointed the Martha A. Darling Dean of Students at Reed College in Portland. Oregon.
Students earning an associate’s degree at the community college will be guaranteed admission to Lincoln University and can enroll in a parallel major at the university. A total of 17 associate’s degree programs at the community college are included.
Monica Parrish Trent currently serves as instructional dean of the English Language for Academic Purposes, Linguistics, and Communications at Montgomery College in Maryland. She has been on the faculty at Montgomery College since 2000.
Dr. L. Joy Gates Black has been serving as vice chancellor for academic affairs at Tarrant County College District in Fort Worth, Texas. She joined the staff at Tarrant County College in 2010. Earlier, Dr. Gates Black served in administrative roles at community colleges in Texas, California, and Massachusetts.
Historically Black Cheyney University of Pennsylvania has seen a 50 percent drop in enrollments since 2009. The new agreement opens up new avenues for the university to increase the size of its student body.
