Taking on new assignments are Shanen M. Sherrer at St. Mary's College of Maryland, Daphne Penn at the Peabody College of education and human development at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Lorelle Semley at Boston College, Stacy-ann Robinson at Colby College in Waterville Maine, and Tesa Leonce at Columbus State University in Georgia.

Taking on new duties are Ruth L. Okediji at Harvard University, Milton S.F. Curry at Cornell University, Felicia McGhee at Florida A&M University, and Summer Perry at Columbus State University in Georgia.

Dr. Rome currently serves as assistant to the president for community engagement and strategic partnerships at Northeastern Illinois University. Earlier, served as dean of the College of Letters and Sciences at Columbus State University in Georgia and as associate provost and associate vice chancellor for academic affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.

Dr. Chambers has been serving as the interim associate vice chancellor of teaching and learning and chief instructional officer at the Alabama Community College System in addition to her role as executive vice president and vice president of instructional services at Trenholm State.

Taking on new positions are Reggie Hill at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, Xeturah Woodley at Guildford Technical Community College in North Carolina, James K. Winfield at Southern New Hampshire University, Nina E. King at Duke University, Adele Brumfield at the University of Michigan, and Nicol Lewis at Columbus State University in Georgia.

Odis Johnson was named a Bloomberg Distinguished Professor at Johns Hopkins University. Christopher Freeburg was named University Scholar at the University of Illinois, and Professor Ronald Williams was appointed chief of staff to the president of Columbus State University in Georgia.

BaShaun H.L. Smith was appointed associate vice chancellor and dean of students at Western Carolina University. Annice D. Yarber-Allen has been named dean of the College of Letters & Sciences at Columbus State University in Georgia and Eric Wilcots was named dean of the College of Letters & Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

The president of Drake State Community and Technical College in Huntsville was placed on leave and Dr. Kemba Chambers, who has been serving as dean of mathematics, natural sciences, and pre-engineering at Calhoun Community College in Tanner, Alabama, was named acting president.

He currently serves as dean of the College of Education at Tennessee State University in Nashville.
