Teenager Is the Youngest Graduate in the History of Langston University in Oklahoma

In 2022, 14-year-old Shania Muhammad earned associate’s degrees from Langston University in Oklahoma and Oklahoma City Community College. This year, the teenager became the youngest person to earn a bachelor’s degree at Langston University.

Muhammad earned a bachelor’s degree in family and consumer sciences/child development. She also won The Outstanding Graduate Senior Award from the family consumer science department. Muhammad is now studying for an MBA at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

Last fall, Shania’s 12-year-old brother, Elijah, enrolled at Oklahoma City Community College. He is the youngest student to ever enroll at the college. His academic focus is on cybersecurity.

  1. I worked with her mother at Langston University. I remember when she was just a little third grader full of energy and now she is really shone academically. Her parents should be proud. Hats off to Dr. and Mr. Muhammad for raising such an exceptional child.
