Brown University — Project Director (CADRE)

Job Description:

Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI), the Project Director is responsible for the implementation and ongoing management of a large ($12M) Center Grant that includes 2 research cores, 3-4 research projects and 1-2 pilot projects that are supported by the Center. The Project Director oversees the activation of all protocols, supervises financial transactions of all center staff members, acts as the primary liaison between the Center Grant PI and study sponsors, and ensures that all Center grant functions are conducted in a timely fashion.

Education

Required:
Master’s in a related field or equivalent and two to three years of supervisory/project management and prior research experience.

Experience:
3-5 years  of experience in multidisciplinary research management and/or project management and  preferred

  • Excellence of organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • Addiction-related experience preferred.
  • Grant and report writing experience is desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and explain protocols (inclusion/exclusion criteria, demographics, disease prevalence).
  • Enthusiastic and professional attitude.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based applications such as Zoom; experience with design applications helpful.
  • Data management experience is desirable (Redcap, ACCESS, Qualtrix, etc).
  • Knowledge of and sensitivity to diverse communities, including communities of color and gay/lesbian/ bisexual/transgender communities.
  • Experience working with IRB applications and grant/IRB reporting preferred
  • Willingness to travel locally and domestically, as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to support a community of diverse perspectives and cultures in an inclusive environment.

This is a fixed term position with a current end date of 7/31/24 which may be extended based upon available funding.
