University of Georgia — UGA Prospect Management Specialist

Reporting to the Senior Director of Prospect Management, the Prospect Management Specialist will prioritize and leverage Prospect Management’s resources to support the university’s ongoing fundraising efforts. Specifically, this individual will provide decision and process support for Prospect Management in guiding practices and procedures. As such, this individual will be essential for consulting with major gift officers and filling the need to provide training and consultation to annual gift officers, leadership officers, and development coordinators.

The Prospect Management Specialist will support and promote the Prospect Management program, directing strategy meetings, routine reporting on cultivation activities, and developing solicitation strategies. To assist fundraisers in achieving an effective and healthy balance in their portfolios, a Prospect Management Specialist must be available on an as-requested basis to any development officer and conduct scheduled portfolio reviews. This individual will also oversee the monthly interactions review process to ensure timely and efficient development officer fundraising activity reporting.

The Prospect Management Specialist will work closely with a team of analysts and the Senior Director of Prospect Management to utilize appropriate information to help discover, analyze, classify, and maintain prospects capable of making philanthropic contributions to the University. This individual will also work collaboratively with a wide variety of stakeholders and have an established track record in building meaningful relationships coupled with effectively using relationship management skills and resources.
