The TRIO Pre-College Assistant Director will identify eligible students from targeted high schools, collect necessary applications and documentation, disseminate post-secondary educational information, and develop and implement a variety of educational activities. Most student contact will be in large groups at the Portland target schools or at Portland State University.
As Assistant Director, this position will be responsible for assisting with the completion of the TRIO Pre-College Annual Performance Report, monitoring student budget expenditures during the academic year, delivering data analysis for meeting TRIO Pre-College project objectives on a monthly basis, supervising TRIO Pre-College coordinators, managing the Upward Bound summer course registration process, planning the Upward Bound monthly meetings, and performing other managerial functions in the director’s absence.
The Assistant Director supervises two College Coordinators.
