Marshall Fulbright III Named President of Monterey Peninsula College

Marshall Fulbright III was appointed superintendent and president of the Monterey Peninsula Community College District in California.

Monterey Peninsula Community College enrolls just over 6,800 students, according to the most recent data from the U.S. Department of Education. African Americans make up just 3 percent of the student body.

“I am truly honored to be selected as the next superintendent/president of Monterey Peninsula College. I am looking forward to collaboratively working with the governing board, the faculty, the classified professionals, the students, and the community to support the college’s mission of being equitable, inclusive, respectful, and supportive,” stated Dr. Fulbright. “MPC has a bright future, and I can’t wait to join its existing team on this exciting journey.”

Dr. Fulbright is currently the vice president of academic affairs at Grossmont College in El Cajon, California. Previously he was an instructional dean at Norco College in the Riverside Community College District and the College of the Sequoias in Visalia.

Dr. Fulbright earned his bachelor’s degree in music from Chapman University in Orange, California He holds a master’s degree in music from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a doctorate from Azusa Pacific University in California.
