Kutztown University of Pennsylvania enrolls approximately 8,000 students in graduate and undergraduate programs. The university is located in the borough of Kutztown in a charming rural setting, and is within 20 minutes driving time of the diverse metropolitan areas of Allentown/Bethlehem and Reading, and within 60 minutes of the Philadelphia metropolitan area. Kutztown University's Counseling and Psychological Services (CPS) department is currently accepting applications from licensed professional counselors, social workers, and psychologists for a regular full-time tenure-track position to provide short-term counseling and crisis intervention services beginning with the 2023-2024 academic year.
Minimum Qualifications
This non-teaching position requires a counseling generalist who will provide short-term, in-person individual and group counseling and crisis intervention services to undergraduate and graduate students; referral services to external resources when a higher level of care is needed; outreach and consultation; and supervision of practicum students in a team-oriented setting.

An earned doctoral degree in counseling, social work, or a related field and appropriate PA licensure is required at the time of application.

Experience working with at least one of the following populations is desired:

Individuals with marginalized identities, neurodiverse individuals, individuals with disordered eating patterns, military-affiliated/veteran students, and LGBTQ-identifying students.

A full-time position (with benefits) including 24 clinical hours as well as administrative duties scheduled Monday – Friday between 8:00am-7:30pm; availability until 7:30pm for appointments and crisis intervention services is required. No weekends, holidays or summer hours required. In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, performance review and evaluation of faculty is based on fulfillment of professional responsibilities, continuing scholarly growth, and service.
CPS is located in the student health center and falls under the division of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the positions are filled.
