Brown University — Visiting Student Program Coordinator

Job Description:
The Visiting Student Program Coordinator will manage the domestic and International (incoming and outgoing) visiting medical student program; assists students through the application and placement process; and ensures that visiting students and The Warren Alpert Medical School (AMS) students meet established AMS and clinical affiliate requirements. Process and reconcile visiting student tuition and application fees. As a member of the Records and Registration team, support aspects of medical student registration and records maintenance during high volume periods.

Job Qualifications:
Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree plus 1-2 years’ experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience (1-2 years’ experience with program management in an academic environment preferred)
  • Cultural competency and experience working with diverse populations required
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office suite (including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Adobe, and Google Docs.) and experience working in multiple systems.

  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills: ability to maintain confidentiality
