Job Description:
The Administrative Coordinator provides reception and day-to-day administrative support for an active academic department. The Administrative Coordinator manages the arrangements associated with multiple workshops, seminars, and provides administrative support for events for the Economics Department. The Administrative Coordinator arranges travel logistics and processes associated reimbursements. This position provides year-round administrative, logistical, and project support in alignment with Brown policies.
This support includes updating Google department calendars, workflow support for other staff, database maintenance, facilitation of building work orders and keys, ordering office supplies, and an on-the-ground presence to provide faculty and student administrative support.
Education and Experience
- Associate Degree and 2-3 years related experience, or the equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with university scheduling systems (CollegeNet, 25 Live, Canvas, CAB, Cognos) a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office. Familiarity with Google, Desktop publishing tools such as Adobe Acrobat preferred.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse group and in a constantly changing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to support a community of diverse perspectives and cultures in an inclusive environment.
