ICERM is a dynamic, active environment supported and managed by 14 full time professional staff and 9 directors. ICERM is one of several math institutes funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF). Launched at Brown University in 2010, the institute’s funding has been renewed by the NSF through 2025. Prior to that date the institute will request renewal for another 5-year grant. This stable cycle of repeat funding in 5-year increments is the typical model for successful NSF-funded math institutes
