Job Description:
Assist in research on the cognitive neuroscience of decision-making, motivation, and cognitive control. The lab studies these processes using computational modeling and measures of behavior, affect, and brain activity (functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and electroencephalography (EEG) in healthy participants and in populations with psychiatric disorders. Responsibilities include experimental design and development, recruitment and testing of experimental subjects, data analysis, and general lab administration.
This is a fixed-term position with the possibility of renewal depending on the funding source.
Education and Experience
- B.A. or B.S. degree in psychology, cognitive science, neuroscience, computer science, or a related field required
- 1-2 years’ experience preferred
- Previous research experience in a psychology or neuroscience lab strongly preferred. Experience with collection and/or analysis of neuroimaging data (e.g., EEG or FMRI) preferred but not required.
- Basic computer skills (e.g., word processing, spreadsheet) required. Programming skills (e.g. Matlab, Python) strongly preferred
- Good organizational skills, good interpersonal skills, ability to work independently
- Demonstrated ability to support a community of diverse perspectives and cultures in an inclusive environment.
