Job Description:

The Facilities and Operations Administrative Coordinator in Residential Life will contribute to the physical, environmental, security and general maintenance conditions for the Residential Facilities operation which includes 46 residence hall buildings and 1.9 million square feet of living space on campus. This position assists in the management of facility conditions in residence halls, conducting regular visual inspections of facilities, initiating and/or following up on service orders for facility repairs of buildings and laundry machines, and communicates with students about ongoing repairs and issues. The Specialist monitors Residential Life Facilities email accounts, responds to inquiries, follows up on requests, and assists with recruiting, training and supervising student personnel to provide support in the operations areas.

The Facilities & Operations Administrative Coordinator assists with managing the central key control system, tracks lock changes and lockouts for billing, adjudicates student damage charges, and communicates pertinent information concerning department policies and procedures related to residential facilities. This position requires weekend and night hours. The anticipated regular schedule for this position will be Monday through Friday, 10:00 am – 6:30 pm.

Job Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three years of related experience, preferably in facilities or operations management, office management or similar operations capacity.
