The University of North Texas at Dallas (UNTD) welcomes inquiries, applications, and nominations for the position of Dean of the School of Business. The Dean is the chief academic and administrative officer of the School of Business, reporting to the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs (EVPAA), with responsibility for the academic vision and program integrity of all programs in the School, including bachelor's and master's degrees and certificate programs.

The Dean is responsible for academic program development and formation; community business relationships and partnerships; faculty recruitment, development, and evaluation; and accountability for all aspects of the School of Business.

The School of Business is the fastest growing School at the University. Each of the majors places an emphasis on career-readiness and equips the graduates with industry-recognized certifications that prepare graduates to enter the outstanding Dallas-Fort Worth market, rated as the No.1 market in the country by Forbes.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must have an earned doctorate from a regionally accredited U.S. university or equivalent international institution in the discipline of the School of Business or closely related field.
• Minimum of five years of leadership or management experience with faculty and students in a four-year higher education institution.
• Demonstrated record of academic administrative experience in progressively responsible positions, which includes budgeting and academic program and policy development.	

Preferred Qualifications:

• Significant history of academic achievement including teaching, scholarship and service sufficient to be appointed at the level of professor
• Service at the level of associate dean or dean
• Experience in fostering collaboration between academic programs and/or business partners to create interdisciplinary educational experiences for students
• Experience in faculty governance, leadership, mentoring and faculty development
• Knowledge of enrollment management, facility planning, and fundraising functions including grant writing
• A track record of achieving institutional goals and directing major projects from inception to completion
• An innovative and entrepreneurial leader
• Knowledge of accreditation standards set forth by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACSCOC) or another regional accrediting agency
• Interest in developing and implementing curricula
• Academic experiences and interests in culturally diverse groups and/or;
• Experience with a variety of teaching methods and/or curricula perspectives
