Oregon State University — Executive Assistant to the President

The Office of the President at Oregon State University is seeking an Executive Assistant to join the team. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month, professional faculty position.

The executive assistant to the president provides executive-level, confidential, operational, and strategic administrative support to the president. Reporting to the chief assistant to the president, the executive assistant will support the strategic and efficient use of the president's time, supporting the president's goals and priorities and serving as a collaborative team member within the Office of the President.

The executive assistant's role is performed in a highly sensitive and extremely confidential environment. The executive assistant is responsible for understanding the goals of the president and the university as well as the Office of the President and university policies and procedures. Success in the role requires sound judgment and ability to think independently and strategically, attention to detail, anticipatory skills, confidentiality, diplomacy, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to function effectively and with accuracy in a dynamic environment.

A commitment to proactive planning, follow through, and collaboration with university colleagues is an essential part of this position's role and responsibility, as the executive assistant has a high degree of contact with senior university administrators and their assistants, faculty, students, staff, and alumni and friends of Oregon State University.
