Job Description:
The Data Science Initiative (DSI) is a high-visibility, campus-wide initiative overseen by the Provost’s office and partnership with multiple Departments and Centers to develop a campus hub for research and education in the emerging field of Data Science. The Center for Computational Molecular Biology (CCMB) is one of the centers under the DSI umbrella, housing undergraduates (ScB and AB in Computational Biology), Ph.D. students in Computational Biology, and faculty where the fields of Computer Science, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, Applied Mathematics, Biostatistics, Biomedical Informatics, and Molecular Biology, Cell Biology and Biochemistry intersect.
The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for providing day to day executive administrative support to the senior leadership team and general support of the CCMB and DSI’s faculty, postdocs, and students. In addition, the Administrative Coordinator is responsible for assisting the DSI staff with meeting general operational needs, including the role of financial coordinator. Responsibilities include serving as the receptionist for the DSI/CCMB space by answering the phone and greeting visitors; financial transactions; office management, including tracking and purchasing supplies; room scheduling; logistical support for meetings and events; and support for administration of academic programs.
- Associates degree with 3 years of related administrative experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Experience in an academic or non-profit setting is preferred .
- Prior financial experience preferred.
