Advertised Job Duties

Instructing assigned classes; grading all quizzes, tests, and written assignments.

Instructing courses using Zoom, Blackboard, Teams, and other learning platforms.

Assigning final grades and delivering grades and grade justification sheets.

Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours to meet with students.

Maintaining a safe and effective classroom environment.

Participating in department, division, and general adjunct faculty meetings.

Completing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

All degrees must be conferred and from a regionally accredited institution.

Copies of required certificates and licenses and unofficial transcripts for all graduate degrees with the institution and conferred degree and date must be attached.

Educational Specialist (Eds) or higher in School Psychology

Certificates, licenses, and registrations:

Active School Psychology license required (NCSP)

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

One-two years teaching experience in a post-secondary institution

Proven teaching skills with the ability to convey basic concepts and theories in a practical and comprehensible way.

Ability to recognize and to respond to students from culturally diverse backgrounds as well as the willingness to make students active partners in the teaching/learning process.

Computer literacy and experience using computers in classroom with a willingness to apply technology and innovative approaches to the teaching of specific discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

PhD or PsyD from a regionally accredited institution in School Psychology;

Three to five years teaching experience in a post-secondary institution

Physical Demands:

Physical demands: While performing duties of job, employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, reach, talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close, distance and color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Work environment: The noise level in the work environment will probably be low to moderate at times.
