Job Description:

This 3-year project is a dietary intervention that leverages a longstanding partnership with the Center for Southeast Asians in Providence, RI. The intervention will test the feasibility and preliminary efficacy of an innovative multilevel, multicomponent, multigenerational dietary intervention with 75 Southeast Asian families with children ages 6 to 11. This intervention integrates family-based nutrition education, motivational interviewing, text messaging and healthy eating financial incentive coupons to improve children’s diet quality (primary) and body mass index and HbA1c (secondary).

The part-time project manager hired for this position will manage/direct the day-to-day operations of research studies including managing communications, data, and overseeing workflow.

Job Qualifications 
Education and Experience

Master’s Degree and 1-2 or equivalent combination of education and experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years relevant experience.

Job Competencies

  • Effective facilitation and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Effective interpersonal and organizational skills; motivated and self-starting.
  • Experience with project coordinating including developing and implementing study protocols; coordinating recruitment/enrollment efforts; data collection, storage, and management; performing literature reviews; writing progress reports and scientific manuscripts; preparing meeting agenda and minutes; and drafting presentation slides
  • Results-oriented team player
  • Experience working with racial/ethnic minority populations preferred
  • Computer proficiency in word processing, with spreadsheets, and with Endnote
  • Candidates must possess a willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive environment.
