The Director of Energy Conservation and Sustainability is responsible for providing leadership and implementing conservation and sustainability efforts to ensure efficient campus operations in the areas of energy, water, habitat, waste, environmental health, and transportation in collaboration with the college community and regional partners. Serves as a college wide business partner/internal consultant to leadership on strategic and operational energy conservation and sustainability management, assessment, implementation of services, policies, and programs. Exercises discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance regularly.

The ideal candidate will have: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution, or any equivalent combination of related education, training, and/or experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions. 
  • Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in energy conservation and sustainability or related area, to include leading, developing, and implementing energy conservation and sustainability initiatives and programs. 
  • Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Certification or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire into position.
