Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Experience in relational database design.
  • Ability to write complex SQL queries.
  • Experience in objected oriented programming.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Business or Tableau.
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills.
  • Experience in Visual, Studio, and C#.

Job Description:
Under general direction, assists the Director of Research Support Services, RRSS in developing software solutions, provide research software user support and general IT support to ORSP and the research community in the university.
Responsible for developing highly complex information management system and business management system software to support critical operations of ORSP and researchers on campus.

Job Duties:

  • Maintains and updates existing IT systems and databases in response to client requirements
  • Designs, codes, and tests new application solutions
  • Writes and maintains documentation to describe program development logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections
  • Provides client support and training for commercial software systems
  • Utilize various databases to generate meaningful information to facilitate decision making
  • Conduct quantitative analysis on research trends, characteristics, and outcomes
  • Consults, advises research administrators on data needs
  • Provides general IT support
