Job Description:

The Administrative Coordinator is a key member of the OBEDI team and is responsible for providing high level support and coordination for a full range of administrative functions for the centers for Workforce and Student Belonging in the OBEDI.  This position manages complex meeting schedules, assists with the coordination of Workforce and Student Belonging events, supports program tracking and evaluation activities, assists with the budget and Workday entries, creates reports, manages dashboards to complement the diversity and inclusion action plan (DIAP), tracks survey results and assists with goals set by DIAP.

The Administrative Coordinator also coordinates the diversity visiting clerkship program in partnership with the Alpert Medical School’s Medical Education Office and clinical departments including updating the website, tracking emails and applications, communicating with clinical departments and MedEd to set up mentorship for the students.


Education and Experience

  • Required: Associates Degree (Bachelor’s preferred), plus 3 years’ relevant work experience in a service oriented administrative/coordinator role
  • Experience in medical education (medical school, hospital settings) preferred
  • Knowledge of data systems and dashboard creations is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint and Word is required
  • Proficiency  with Google Drive, Calendar, Docs and Sheets required
  • Experience organizing events, travel, catering is preferred
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
