Baruch College — Assistant Professor in Economics (Multiple Positions)

Job Description:

The Bert W. Wasserman Department of Economics and Finance is seeking applicants for two tenure track Assistant Professor positions in Economics starting Fall 2023, subject to final budget approval.

The successful candidate will engage in high quality scholarly research, teach undergraduate and graduate courses in economics, mentor students (undergraduate, master’s, Ph.D.), and share responsibility for committee and department assignments.

All CUNY employees must reside within a commutable distance to the tri-state area.

Candidates will be required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencing employment. Ph.D. in Economics or a closely related field. Demonstrated ability to conduct high quality scholarly research, ability to teach successfully and to cooperate with colleagues for the good of the institution.  Preference will be given to candidates specialized in 1) industrial organization, broadly define to include the economics of innovation, organizations and strategy, and 2) computational methods used in macroeconomics and econometrics, among others.
