Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for an Academic Advisor 1 for the Exploratory and Pre-Professional Advising Center. This position is responsible for providing academic advising to prospective, new, transfer and continuing undergraduate exploratory, speech pathology, and general studies students in individual and group advising settings regarding schedule, choice of major, number of hours to be taken, etc. The Academic Advisor 1 provides expertise in core curriculum, major program requirements, participates in retention activities, and may be involved in recruitment events and other college-specific special projects assigned.

Required Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of related experience OR a Master's Degree and one (1)year of related experience.

Related Experience: experience in a field related to academic advising or student services.

Administrative Faculty – B

Grants-in-aid for Faculty Employees

Our office serves students who are exploring their major decisions, those who have declared Interdisciplinary Studies, Speech Pathology, and those who are preparing to attend a Pre-Professional Graduate program (Law School, Medical School, other health programs).
