Job Overview
The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Business tenure track position in the Business & Economics Department beginning January 1, 2023. Faculty responsibilities include teaching a variety of courses which include, but are not limited to, the following: Courses in the Bachelor of Technical and Applied Studies (BTAS) in Applied Administration program, many of which focus on the use and application of technology; Other courses taught within the UCBA Business and Economics Department which include courses in Management, Information Systems, or related disciplines.

Responsibilities include teaching twelve credit hours per term, fall and spring semesters, including day, evening, online, and possibly weekend classes. Responsibilities also include participating in the governance and committee work of the Department, College, and University, and professional activity in the faculty member’s discipline.

Essential Functions

  • Attend meetings, participate in governance, and prepare materials for teaching.
  • Evaluate and develop curriculum for the department and/or college.
  • Conduct, teach, and evaluate student coursework for assigned undergraduate courses and seminars.
  • If requested, serve as an academic advisor.
  • Serve on department, college, or university committees. Render service to the professional or lay community which is relevant to the individual’s academic specialty. Examples include but are not limited to serving on boards of professional organizations or organizing community events in areas of expertise.  

Minimum Requirements
Prior to effective date of appointment:

  • A Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • A minimum of one academic year of college-level teaching experience, which must have included teaching at least one course in a discipline area as listed under job overview.
