Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia — Pediatric Pathologist – Autopsy / Perinatal – Assistant Professor – AC Track

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. American Board of Pathology certification is required in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. American Board of Pathology certification in Pediatric Pathology is required. Eligibility for licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is required.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching and mentoring of medical students, pathology residents and fellows.

Clinical responsibilities may include regular participation in the surgical pathology, perinatal, and autopsy services and on call rotation. The Division of Anatomic Pathology has seen sustained inpatient and outpatient specimen growth over recent years with projected growth on par with recent growth. In addition, the Division has developed a robust and growing outreach program to provide consultative pediatric and perinatal autopsy services to hospitals throughout the mid-Atlantic region. Thus, individuals with an interest and/or expertise in pediatric autopsy, perinatal autopsy, and placenta pathology are preferred.

The position will be based within the Division of Anatomic Pathology at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
