Brown University — Project Director

Job Description:

The Project Director at the Center for Long-Term Care Quality & Innovation joins a vibrant team to manage and execute projects addressing high-priority topics for pragmatic research in nursing homes and other settings that care for older adults. Working closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) and other Multiple Principal Investigators (MPIs), the Project Director will take the lead on operationalizing and executing large-scale national research initiatives focused on healthcare quality and safety in nursing homes. The Project Director will work with diverse teams and engage collaborators across institutions and in the nursing home industry.

Brown University has a five-year CDC Developing Healthcare Safety Research (SHEPheRD) master contract that includes multiple large-scale contracts. One involves building a national nursing home public health response network that will consist of several clusters of nursing homes with intense infection surveillance testing for infectious pathogens. Contracts like this contract involve completing contracted tasks and communicating regularly with CDC.

Job Qualifications 

  • Master’s or higher degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent and two to three years of supervisory/project management and/or prior research experience.
  • Two to three years of supervisory/project management and/or prior research experience.
