Job Description:

The School of Engineering is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Program Coordinator, for its Masters in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship, PRIME. The School of Engineering is a world class institute of higher education and cutting-edge research.

The PRIME Program Coordinator coordinates and supports the development, implementation and maintenance of various, non-academic aspects of the program and is cross-trained to provide support and continuity for recruitment, marketing and event planning activities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, coordinating PRIME’s business immersion activities with respect to the internship program (PRIME@Work) and a week-long immersion experience.  The coordinator provides support for interactions with the Registrar, OISSS and ENGN administration on issues of student status, graduation and tuition payments, as examples. The coordinator will update the GSIM system, in regards to RA and TA positions as examples.

The Coordinator provides administrative support to create face sheets for the incoming class and individual face sheets for each course section.  Deploy, track and compile data from student and partner outreach initiatives.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 2+ years program coordination and administration experience preferably in an academic environment.
  • Customer service and event planning experience preferred.

  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of computer expertise and continued interest in maintaining skills: Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel) and Slate and other CRM platforms.
  • Strong customer service skills, plus the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of office systems (records maintenance, procedures, etc.).
  • Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and exercise tact, discretion, judgment and ability to prioritize task completion.
  • Ability to work with a diverse population and handle confidential information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
