The UCLA School of Dentistry invites qualified applications for a full-time, tenure-track or tenured faculty position, at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor to join the Section of Restorative Dentistry. This full-time tenure -track position is available immediately, and the search will remain open until the position has been filled.

Primary responsibilities of the position include didactic, preclinical and clinical teaching in the Section of Restorative Dentistry, as well as the establishment of an independent research and scholarly program along the core strengths of the Section in biological and material research. The individual will also contribute in service to the school and the profession. An opportunity for part-time private practice will be available.

UCLA seeks candidates whose experience, teaching, research, or community service has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity and excellence.

Applicants must possess a DDS/DMD degree or equivalent. Additional qualifications include a certificate of advanced training from an institution accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) or equivalent, and a California dental license (or be eligible to obtain) or be eligible for a California Special Permit. A PhD or equivalent is preferred, and a track record of scholarly activity (e.g. grants and publications), as well as demonstration or likely commitment to diversity-related teaching, research and service are highly preferred. The successful applicant will be expected to establish and direct a thriving, high-quality independent research program. Interests in curriculum development and clinical and didactic teaching are desirable. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
