Summary
This position reports to the Curriculum Manager in the Office of Medical Education in matters related to policy and procedure and to course director/clerkship director(s) in matters related to the coordination of curricular activities in specified areas of responsibility.

This position will be housed on the campus of an affiliate partner hospital, rather than in Rootstown.

Principal Functional Responsibilities

  1. Develop, edit, and/or review course content and related materials. Assist in course implementation including and not limited to the development and production of course schedules, course approvals/modifications, modes of instruction, educational materials, instructional media material, small group formations, recruitment and/or confirmation of faculty, evaluation processes and other related curricular activities with, one45, or other assessment software. | 20%
  2. Execute administrative functions for designated programming and projects, including but not limited to scheduling meetings with students/faculty/course directors, including agendas, correspondence, proposals, preparing documents, attendance/registration and reports, coordinating space reservations, technical needs; maintaining communication lists and shared files. Serve as the go-to for questions from course/clerkship director, student, and/or NEOMED teaching faculty at affiliate partner hospitals. | 15%
  3. Develop timelines, implement, organize, refine, improve and maintain processes and systems to support assigned program courses and projects ensuring adherence to milestones and deliverables in a timely manner. | 10%
  4. Participate in and provide input to Office of Medical Education planning meetings and other related office tasks/workload; | 10%
  5. Coordinate and maintain curricular content within the designated LMS system one45, or designated software for assigned courses, including electronic student schedule. | 10%
  6. Assist with the preparation and review of quizzes and exams for assigned courses and maintains exam databank (or relevant software) for assigned courses. | 10%
  7. Track expenditures, ensure adherence to budgets as appropriate and assist with implementation related to course budgets. | 5%
  8. Serve as principal administrative contact and liaison with students, curriculum team faculty, vendor, faculty and hospital/community-based clinical sites and constituencies for designated courses, projects, events, and assignments; interact professionally with healthcare practitioners, faculty, public and students to create favorable impression of NEOMED. | 5%
  9. Coordinate all logistics and tasks related to guest presenters and clinical faculty for designated courses and assignments. | 5%
  10. Maintain and secure confidential records and materials in student files kept within the college. | 5%
  11. Perform other duties as assigned | 5%

Qualifications
Education/Degrees: Bachelor’s degree in education, Allied Health, or related field, or equivalent in education and experience.

Experience: Two to four years’ experience in higher education or health-related field.

Key Skills, Personal Characteristics, and Key Competencies

  • Excellent written and communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to set clear objectives.
  • Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office
  • Ability to quickly learn complex software applications.
  • Knowledge of LXR, or Learning Management System (AIMS) is a plus
