Bryn Mawr College — Associate Director, Praxis

Bryn Mawr College has an opening for an Associate Director for the Praxis Program.


Praxis is the College’s experiential education and community-based learning program, providing opportunities for students to connect theory and practice through meaningful, useful engagement with community partners and through active and ongoing reflection.  The program is housed within the Career & Civic Engagement Center (the Center) at the College.  The mission of the Center is to prepare Bryn Mawr students and alums to be effective, self-aware leaders in their chosen life pursuits.  The Associate Director for Praxis supports the work of the Center by providing guidance, resources, and field placement support to faculty, community partners and students engaged in Praxis courses and related community-based learning/engagement programs.  

The Associate Director for Praxis reports directly to the Senior Associate Director of Praxis and works closely with Career & Civic Engagement Center staff, especially the Civic Engagement team.  The person in this role will also engage in outreach to both on-campus and off-campus stakeholders in an effort to promote and develop the program in alignment with the current priorities of the College.  Responsibilities will focus on areas of Praxis course, field placement and program development, relationship management, data management, and departmental and interdepartmental planning.

The salary range for this position is $52,000 – $55,000 annually and comes with excellent benefits that include health care, retirement contribution, tuition benefit and generous amounts of time off.
