Job Summary
The Student Involvement Coordinator's primary responsibilities are to coach, advise, and supervise the Campus Activities Board and to provide leadership for the student organization program. The coordinator oversees and supports major campus traditions event programming, leads involvement communication and outreach, serves as a liaison to student organizations including supervising university segregated fee expenditures, advises students on event planning and risk-management, and works closely with students seeking co-curricular involvement opportunities across campus.

A well-qualified candidate possessing the ideal combination of skills and experience can expect a starting salary offer between $43,000-$49,000 annually, commensurate with experience, education, certifications, skills, and training and a generous paid leave package including:

Vacation: 22 days/year Observed Legal Holidays: Nine legal holidays are observed Personal/Floating Holidays: 4.5 days/year Sick Leave: Initial entitlement of 22 days which may be used during the first 18-months of employment (one day/month earned thereafter)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree or higher in Higher Ed, Student Affairs, Counseling, Educational Leadership, or equivalent (must be obtained by 08/01/2022).
  • Experience working in student involvement, activities, (e.g., student life, leadership, programming, Greek life, academic advising, first-year experience, residence life, or related area) at a post-secondary education institution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skills and experience in advising, training, mentoring, and coaching a campus programming board in a post-secondary education environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a budget, completing organizational bookkeeping, and negotiating and processing contracts.
  • Demonstrated experience planning and implementing events and activities.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing assessment and program evaluation techniques.
  • Demonstrated skills or experience with communications and social media.
