Senior Financial Analyst

The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team in MIT Open Learning seeks a key contributor to support its budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and analysis process.

Will build financial frameworks and business models for new business ideas; perform ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions; act as a strategic partner to key business units on transactional inquires and financial/budgetary questions that require problem-solving and analytic capability; present financial summary and business insights to senior management; support the development, monitoring, and reporting on operational metrics and KPIs; perform analysis that aids in the decision-making process and increased sustainability; and perform other related duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related analytical field
  • At least four years of FP&A experience at a complex organization
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders and business leaders
  • Discretion when handling sensitive information and all external and internal communications
  • Comfort with ambiguity and willingness to ask relevant questions to contribute to a robust discussion
  • Self-motivation
  • Excellent MS Office and business modeling
  • Ability to synthesize and analyze large quantities of system data to create useful information and concise trend analysis
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and consistently deliver high quality, timely results
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly innovative, and collaborative environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or master’s degree in a relevant field
  • Experience with SAP and Tableau
  • Experience in higher education
