Massachusetts Institute of Technology — Abdul Latif Jameel World Education Lab Projects and Membership Outreach Manager

MIT Open Learning seeks a projects and membership outreach manager to work toward three essential strategic J-WEL priorities–building ever-stronger linkages across the MIT ecosystem and its global membership community; ensuring the operational success of key transformation projects anchored in higher education; and enabling the creation of scalable content that leverages J-WEL’s experiences, materials, and documentation.

J-WEL promotes excellence and transformation in education worldwide. Its membership team supports that mission by convening and supporting a global community of educators and enabling MIT faculty, researchers, leaders, and students to connect with their global counterparts.  Will build on relationships with member organizations and draw on insights from these interactions to identify high-impact programs, activities, and opportunities for collaboration between MIT and J-WEL members; oversee a number of ambitious educational transformation projects with higher education members, including working with internal planning committees to document working plans, helping ensure projects align with MIT goals and requirements, recruiting team members, developing budget projections, and ensuring that project targets are met; and maintain an ongoing focus on documentation, including generating reusable content and programming that follows a consistent philosophy and approach (digital offerings, workshops, etc.).
