Molloy College in Rockville Centre, New York invites applications, nominations, and expressions of interest for the position of Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences. Reporting directly to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Dean will be responsible for the administration and efficient operation of the educational programs and scholarly activities of the School and aligning strategic plans of the School with those of the College.

Molloy College, an independent, Catholic college, founded in 1955 by the Sisters of St. Dominic, Amityville, the College provides over 5,000 students (3,510 undergraduate, 1,465 graduate, and 140 doctoral) with a variety of competitive academic programs including liberal arts and sciences, business, education and social work, mental health counseling, nursing, allied health and communication sciences and disorders.

The College is deeply rooted in the Dominican tradition of study, spirituality, service, and community. These values, known as the Four Pillars of Dominican life, encompass all elements of life at Molloy. The College resides in the Incorporated Village of Rockville Centre, home to approximately 25,000 residents and is an integral part of a larger community of 3 million people who reside in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. It offers a thriving downtown area with a wide variety of shops and restaurants. The Village boasts a hospital, 12 parks, one library, 11 churches, two synagogues, as well as community centers for both youth and the elderly.

The ideal candidate will have an earned doctorate from a recognized, accredited university and significant administrative experience as dean, associate dean, department chair, or equivalent. The new Dean will also bring a record of teaching and scholarship worthy of appointment at the full professor level. We seek an individual with a collaborative and transparent leadership style, excellent team-building skills, an understanding of and appreciation for disciplines and disciplinary modalities in the School of Liberal Arts, including the sciences, the arts, social sciences, and humanities.
