Franklin Pierce University — Vice President for University Advancement

Franklin Pierce University (FPU) seeks a talented and energetic leader to serve as the next Vice President for University Advancement (VPUA). Soon to celebrate its 60th anniversary, Franklin Pierce University encompasses a broad geographic and virtual network that includes an undergraduate campus in Rindge, New Hampshire and three academic centers (two in New Hampshire and one in Arizona). The University includes the College of Business, the College of Health and Natural Sciences, and the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, along with the Center for Professional Programs and Partnerships. Franklin Pierce is an NCAA Division II institution, with 24 varsity teams for men and women, and over 30 intramural programs/activities.

The Vice President for University Advancement serves as the chief fundraising officer for the University. This person works closely with the President on major and principal gifts and is expected to assign and manage staff to identify, cultivate, solicit, recognize and steward donors. Serving as a vital member of the President’s Senior Staff, the successful candidate advises the President, leadership team, and the Board of Trustees on issues relate to University Advancement.

The new VPUA will be expected to build a robust advancement program and to cultivate and mentor staff to achieve peak productivity and performance. The Vice President for University Advancement will bring strategic, energizing leadership and bold thinking to the Office of University Advancement to inspire constituents and donors. Significant and progressive experience in advancement administration and demonstrated successes as a fundraiser and as a leader of advancement program development are essential.

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s welcome) and a significant and progressive record of successful leadership in higher education or a related field commensurate with the requirements and expectations for this very senior role.
