Colorado State University — Senior IRB Coordinator

Colorado State University invites applications for the position of Senior IRB Coordinator. The Senior IRB Coordinator will serve as the primary contact and initial resource for investigators, faculty, and staff at Colorado State University undertaking research with human subjects or whose work implicates protections for human research subjects. A firm understanding of human subject research regulations and federal guidance documents is essential. Work is completed in accordance with the approved university processes and procedures that ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and institutional policies relative to human subjects research. The Senior IRB Coordinator reports to the Senior Associate Vice-President for Health Policy and Ethics in the Vice-President for Research’s office. The University seeks an experienced professional to provide leadership for the University’s compliance with federal and state regulations and integrity of research efforts with human subjects, especially those supported by the National Institutes of Health or seeking interventions subject to premarket approval by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration.

Successful candidates must have earned a bachelor’s degree and hold 5+ years of IRB experience including knowledge of historical and proposed changes to 45 CFR 46, aka the Common Rule. Ideally, candidates will also have substantial experience directing federally regulated research and administrative operations in a public or private sector settings including experience in the conduct of clinical trials or clinical trials management. The candidate must be CIP® certified.
